Nurava began with one quiet question: why does food feel so heavy during pregnancy?
Not heavy on the plate. Heavy on the mind.
The moment we kept hearing about
Standing in front of an open fridge, hungry and nauseous at the same time. Nothing sounds good. The smell of something that used to be a favorite suddenly feels unbearable. And underneath it all, one question that won't go away: "Is my baby getting enough?"
For so many women, early pregnancy isn't only about nausea. It's about the guilt that follows an unfinished plate, the worry after a day of crackers and toast, and the exhausting feeling that every meal has become a test.
Then comes the search. Ten articles, ten different answers. Lists of foods to avoid, lists of foods you must eat, and very little that speaks to how you actually feel today.
We didn't want to create another list of rules.
We wanted to create calm.
What we believe
Calm over perfection
On hard days, the goal isn't the perfect meal. It's staying nourished enough, and kind to yourself.
Science, made simple
Clear, research-based explanations, written for a tired mind, not a textbook.
Flexible, not rigid
Every day of pregnancy feels different. Your food plan should follow how you feel, not the day of the week.
